New Website!

David JonesAfter weeks of coding and optimizing, we’re finally able to launch our new website. Anuli started as a pure photography company, but in the last year or so we’ve started doing web design and graphic design as well. We needed a new home to accomodate our new services, and this is the result.

So far this year we’ve been doing loads of stuff. Our portfolios aren’t populated yet, but will be very soon. We’ve made album covers for Swimfaster Godwhispers, Years of Rice and Salt and Trouble With Tuesday. We’ve done more work for Peavey Electronics, shooting Golden Silvers and Ipso Facto. We hit the 100th client in live photography right before 2009, and we’re approaching 200 clients fast.

So have a look around and let us know if you find something interesting.

New Year

Roots Manuva

New year, new artists, gigs and photo shoots. 2009 is looking bright for Anuli Photography. 2008 was filled with gigs basically every night which resulted in hiring two-three other freelance photographers who has been working with us for some months now. Anuli Photography was also hired by Peavey Electronics for three different shoots which were great and we hope to continue to work with Peavey in the future. We did The Magic Numbers at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Roots Manuva at Shepherd’s Bush Empire and a promo shoot with Milton McDonald.

We’ve been doing a couple of album covers for some artists, soon available to view here. We will also continue contributing to Swimfaster Godwhispers ‘Life as Promised in our Early Days - Season 2′ by doing most of their single covers.

We’ve been to many new great venues and worked with many great bands and artists. All from unsigned upcoming bands to bigger artists at bigger venues. Anuli Photography wish you a happy new year and are looking forward to be working with you.

The Magic Numbers

The Magic NumbersGot a call from Peavey Electronics the other week and they needed someone to shoot The Magic Numbers at Queen Elizabeth Hall on Sept 13th and asked me if I was available that night. I booked the gig right away. The assignment was to get shots of Michelle (the bassplayer) and her new Trace Elliot amplifiers which they just gave her. So I was told to shoot the concert and some posing shots after sound check.

I got down to Queen Elizabeth Hall, (never been there before) and tried to find where I was supposed to get in. When I found it they didn’t have my photo pass there. But a call later and they let me in anyway. Unfortunately only to let me know that there wont be any posing shots. Guessing Michele had a bad hair day. So a little bummed out, I jumped back on the tube towards home.

Arrived later in the evening for the concert shoot. Getting told to go to 3 different buildings to get my photo pass, when I finally found the right place they didn’t find my pass. 5 minutes left until stage time and she finally found it, laying right next to her.

Inside the Queen Elizabeth Hall I saw that there wasn’t much space for us photographers. But I didn’t care, ’cause I got the shots and hopefully will be working with Peavey again soon. =)
